Trail Report: Friday, June 12

The great spring riding has continued for the past week in Revelstoke. Almost all our lower and mid-elevation trails are open (we're still waiting for a report from UFC) and the dirt is about as tacky as it gets. Sporadic rain has kept it consistently damp and there hasn't been any real warm, sunny stretches to dry things out. That's looking to change, with pretty hot temps this weekend and only a smattering of rain in the forecast mid-week.

Our trail of the week is Logging Leftovers. The middle section was completely re-worked by our trail crew, with every berm refreshed, every brake-bump smoothed out, and some new jumps added. They moved hundreds of buckets of dirt and may have worn out a few tools packing it all down again. We can vouch that it's about as good as it gets - the photos don't do it justice. it's basically the summer equivalent of a powder day. The crew also removed trees off Redneck's Revenge, Backside, and Tall Timber, and fixed up the exit of the latter.

We also need to give a shoutout to our local wildfire crews, who have brushed Logging Leftovers, Rednecks Revenge, Iron Lotus, and Sisyphus on Boulder; and Hemlock Grove, Telemarkers Choice, Forest Lane, Mad Mans Steps, Black Forest, and Richard Liqueur on Macpherson. Thank you for your help, which frees up our crew to focus on trail improvements.

We have a couple of events coming up this week before we take a break for the summer:

🏁 Sunday, June 12: The Iron Horse XC at Macpherson. There are only a few spots left as of writing. Find out more at www.bikerevelstoke.org/ironhorse.

🏁 Wednesday, June 18: Tantrum Enduro #2 at Macpherson. The course will be announced Monday.

We hope to see you out on the trails. If you encounter any issues, let us know on our Trail Conditions page.
