Trail Report: Friday, March 27
A bit of sun will make for a great day to hit your favourite groomers and seek...
Whoops! Wrong trail report! It's still only March, so it's safe to say the trails are going to be pretty wet until we get a long stretch of sunny weather. Help preserve the trails by riding slowly and staying on track. If you see a puddle or muddy section, slow down and go through it. DO NOT go around, as that will widen the trail and cause other problems.
We haven't seen many actual trail reports yet. We heard people have been to to the top of Sunnyside and that it's still a little snowy up there. On the plus side, BC Wildfire crews got up there is week and cleared away all the trees. We're going to try to get a Sunnyside Dig Day organized soon, so stay tuned.
On Lower Macpherson, BC Wildfire also took their chainsaws for a walk on Sex-on-the-Beach, so you can comfortably ride that trail tree-free. Less comfortable are the thousands of wet roots waiting for you at the bottom. The only other report is from Lower Bluff, where user Jhz4eV shared a picture of a fallen tree.
Our trail crew doesn't start until April 27, so any help you can provide clearing drains and raking debris is extremely helpful. Please don't go bucking trees unless you've got the proper training.
Please share your trail reports here.
