July 8 Alpine Update

We're one week into July and that has many wondering when we'll be riding our beautiful alpine trails. The short answer is, "Not anytime soon."

We haven't heard any direct reports from people trying to access the alpine, so we went and took a look at some satellite imagery from July 5. While clouds obscure some of the picture, we can say our assumption is accurate: the alpine is still a few weeks from being rideable.

Frisby Ridge is closed for wildlife habitat protection until July 15. Our trail crew is conducting maintenance until then, so we'll keep you updated on their progress.

Martha Creek is accessible from the upper road crossing, and there's reports of several trees down. We haven't seen any reports from Keystone yet, so let us know if you've given it a go.

The good news is the forecast looks pretty hot and dry for the foreseeable future, so the snow should melt quickly now.
