Trail Report: Friday, May 8

Here's our trail report for May 8:

The abnormally dry spring continues. Or maybe this is the new normal? Either way, trails are drying out quickly and we would love some rain to keep the dust down and let our trail crew do the best work possible.

Our trail crew spent most of the week on Sunnyside. They worked their way up Sunnyside Up with the brushsaws, blower, and rakes; then went down Haulin Daze, smoothing out the trail as they went along. With the dry conditions and early-season traffic, it was definitely tough work, but it's running pretty great right now. Finally, they did some prep work to replace another bridge on Flowdown. Meanwhile, Tuesday night's Dig Day put some love into Logging Leftover

Looking forward, the long-term forecast shows rain in the middle of next week, but that's far enough out that we aren't putting too much stock into those predictions yet.

We’ve got a few events this week:

🍻 Friday, May 8: Tail Whip Launch Party Fundraiser at Mt. Begbie Brewing from 5-9 p.m.

⛏ Tuesday, May 12: Dig Day on Boulder from 5:30 p.m. to dark, led by Luke Stevens.

🏁 Wednesday: May 13: Toonie Race on Boulder from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

We hope to see you out riding! Remember to keep sending us your trail reports at www.bikerevelstoke.org/conditions.
