RCA Awarded Grant For Adaptive Bridges

We're proud to announced we've received $8,600 in funding from the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC's Outdoor Recreation Fund to complete our adaptive bridge project on Flowdown on Stimulus.

This funding means we'll be able to expand our trail crew to four people so we can finish work we started last year, while staying on top of all our other maintenance tasks. In 2025, our trail crew rebuilt about 60 metres of bridges on Flowdown and Stimulus to adaptive mountain bike trail standards. This year, they will widen a further 62 metres of bridges.

This works means two or our most popular trails on Macpherson will be accessible to mountain bikers who require specialized bicycles, like trikes. This work allows us to replace key infrastructure and make our trails more accessible - a double win!

Thank you to ORCBC for awarding us this grant and supporting our trail work!
