Trail Report: Friday, Sept. 18
It's been a great week for riding, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low-20s. There was some rain earlier in the week, which has kept the dirt in pretty nice condition. The beautiful early-fall weather is forecas to continue through the middle of next week, which is just what we dream of for Bike Fest and the Revelstoke Women's Enduro.
Trail crew spent the week getting the course in shape for the Women's Enduro. This is our biggest event and fundraiser of the year, so the crew likes to put in the effort to make sure they get a 5 Star experience on the trails. On Macpherson, hey put their love into TNT and Root Canal. Over on Boulder, Lower Boondocker, Tall Timber, Loggin' Leftovers, and School's Out all got some a nice buffing.
It's a big weekend for events:
Friday, Sept. 18, is Bike Fest in the Regent Parking Lot. Come join us for the Mini Bike Show Down, Mega Bike Show Down, hot dogs, and beer. The after-party kicks off at 8:30 p.m. inside the River City Pub, featuring Shuswap funkateers, Marina Funky Time.
Saturday, Sept. 19, is the Revelstoke Women's Enduro. They will be racing Dusty Beaver, Beaver Tail, TNT, Upper Root Canal, Buff Enuff, Tall Timber, Lower Logging Leftovers, and Lower Boondocker. Come cheer them on! We also have the Revelsoke Gran Fondo taking place on Highway 23 North. They will be cruising through town with a controlled start at 8 a.m. before hitting the highway.
Sunday, Sept. 20, is the Revy 50 on Mount Macpherson. The route covers most of the network, so come cheer them on if you can.
