Trail Report: Friday, Sept. 25

This week's report doesn't appear too exciting in the photos, unless pictures of freshly milled lumber excites you. The crew spent most of the week milling wood for the final few bridges on Flowdown. Up next, we need to get the decking ready, then we can finish the bridges and finally complete our major adaptive trail project. The crew also got started on the reestablishing the connector from the bottom of Snakes & Ladders to Redneck's Revenge. That project isn't finished, but we'll let you know it's done so you can check it out.

What is exciting is the trail reports from Trailforks:

• Buff Enuff and Dusty Beaver: "Expected it to be trashed after the racing, but it is mint."

• TNT and Break-a-Leg: "So sweet, best conditions in ages."

• Lower Boondocker: "She’s pumping can rinse the piss out of it mint"

Well, you get the idea. The trails are in great shape, which is great to hear after a weekend of big races.

It's been raining today and it's supposed to keep raining into Saturday. Sunday and Monday look like beautiful fall riding days, and they might be the last good days to ride Frisby Ridge before we get snow, as more rain and cool temps are forecast the rest of the week.

I am not a soil expert, but I say expect conditions to be somewhere between ideal and wet. The ground in general is so dry that we don't expect it to become saturated and muddy any time soon. But we are in that time of year where short days, cool temps, and periodic rain mean the riding will be great as long as it doesn't rain too much.
