Trail Report: Friday, May 22

The return of rain and cooler temps has been most welcome and our trails are in fantastic shape. Spring is often our favourite time to ride, and this year is no exception. Looking at the long-term forecast, it shows a little rain and highs ranging from 16-24 degrees, so the great conditions should continue. Our entire network other than Frisby Ridge is now open and snow free, so we hope you're enjoying it.

Our trail crew started the week by finishing the new bridge on Flowdown. This was the last long bridge we needed to widen on this trail to make it accessible for adaptive mountain bikers. We have a few small ones that need replacing before we can mark this project complete. We're also going to widen some bridges on Stimulus this year to bring that trail to adaptive standards. Thank you to the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC and Resort Municipality Initiative for supporting this work.

The crew then moved over to Boulder, where they focused their attention on Upper Boondocker and gave it so much needed love. They also did some more work on Hot Dog Hallway and gave Upper Sisyphus a good clean. Finally, they hit up Gravy Bacon and buffed out some berms and smoothed out some landings.

We have a few events coming up this week:

⛏ Saturday, May 23, from 10 am to 1 pm: Womens-only Dig Day at Boulder

⛏ Tuesday, May 26, at 5:30 p.m.: Toonie Dig Day at Boulder

🏁 Wednesday, May 27, 5:30-7:30 p.m.: Toonie DH at Boulder

🛒 Sunday, May 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Revelstoke Bike Swap

We hope to see you out there! Remember to share your trail reports at www.bikerevelstoke.org/conditions.
