Trail Report: Friday, May 30
Here's our trail report for Friday, May 30:
It's been a great end to May, with a nice mix of sun and rain, and fantastic riding conditions. If this weather continues for the rest of the summer, we'd be happy a very trail organization. We hope you're taking advantage of the great dirt!
Here's what our trail crew got up to last week:
Gravy Bacon is the trail of the week. Pretty much all the berms and landings have been manicured in the last two weeks and it's riding like a brand new trail.
⛏ Our crew helped open up an alt-line on Gravy Bacon so you can bypass the triple drop and wall ride halfway down. That work was completed by the Daily Dirt Dig Day team and raced on Wednesday. It's still a little soft, but if you like loamers, check it out.
⛏ Upper Bike Club was cleared of rocks, brush, and trees about until about 3/4 of the way down from the top. Crew will finish the work next week.
⛏ Finally, they took a look at Snakes & Ladders, an old trail that hasn't been maintained after getting logged a few years ago. Our goal is to re-open it this summer.
Next week, we're going to continue work on Bike Club and also buff out Logging Leftovers. On Thursday, we'll be hosting the high school mountain bike team for some after-school maintenance on TNT. If there's a trail that needs work, let us know! We're also happy to share reports on road and gravel riding conditions.
Our Dig Day scheduled for May 31 has been cancelled. Our next one is planned for next Saturday, June 7.
Don't forget about the Iron Horse XC! We released the course and you can check it out at www.bikerevelstoke.org/ironhorse (link in bio).
