Upcoming Logging on Mount Macpherson
Logging operations on Mount Macpherson are scheduled to begin next week (one week later than stated in last week's trail report). Here's what you need to know:
Harvesting will take place from Monday to Friday from 3 am to 5 pm for about one month. No operations will take place on weekends.
The cutblocks don't directly impact any of our trails, however Beaver Tail does cross the road right at the edge of block K6YD (the lower polygon).
Beaver Tail will be closed for a few days only during harvesting hours while logging takes place in the immediate vicinity.
No trails are impacted by block K6YF (the upper polygon).
Hauling will take place on Nordic Glide Road and Tantrum FSR (as shown on the map).
Signs will be placed on Tantrum and Flowdown where they cross the haul road. Please look out for logging trucks if you're riding those trails during operating hours.
