Tall Timber Rebuild and Dig Day

We love it when volunteers approach us to work on our trails. Rerouting Tall Timber has been on the RCA’s to-do list for a while, and we’re stoked that Jacob Tooke (left) and Peter Wojnar (right) have volunteered to take on that job!

Jacob worked on the RCA trail crew last year and has dug at Rampage for Georgia Astle, while Woj has built trail around the province for various organizations and bike film projects. We’re thrilled to have their experience on board. Both builders ride for Kona Bikes, whose support is helping them commit the time it will take to do a great job on this build. Thank you Kona!

They’re getting the work started this week, but to help out, we’re hosting a Dig Day on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

To join in, meet at the snowmobile club welcome centre at 5:30 p.m. We'll gather tools, then head to the trail to get to work. Please come in proper work clothes, including solid shoes, long pants, and work gloves; and bring your own food and water. Everyone who takes part will get a gift card from our sponsors - the Big Eddy Pub, Village Idiot, and Chesterfield.

Thank you to Woj and Jacob for taking on this project.
